Publicist’s advice to single starlets: Don’t date John Mayer
John Mayer’s current single “New Light” might be a hit — reaching No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart — but according to insiders, he’s still a big miss among single A-listers.
“I would tell women in Hollywood to steer clear of him,” said one celebrity publicist. “He’s manipulative. He has a reputation . . . and it’s better to exercise caution dealing with anybody who kisses and tells.”
No doubt Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston would agree. Both women dated the crooner, now 40, only to be publicly burned when he then told the media about their relationships.
“I don’t think that’s a very honorable thing to do and I think that it’s hurtful,” said the publicist. “I’m sure women are very cautious after seeing what he’s done.”
Despite all that happening a few years ago, Mayer’s been on a sheepish apology tour of late, whining on his new single that he’s “pushing 40 in the friend zone,” and lamenting to pal Andy Cohen on a recent episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” that he’s persona non grata among the Hollywood elite.
“You have a lot of friends who, without you, would want nothing to do with me,” Mayer said to Cohen. “You’re friends with Jennifer Lawrence, who just doesn’t want anything to do with me. Look, I don’t have the world’s greatest track record when it comes to celebrity relationships . . .
Dating John Mayer at this point is conceptually just sort of a no-no,” Mayer continued, in the third person.
The singer has only himself to thank for his less-than-glowing reputation.
In a March 2010 interview with Playboy, he dished that Simpson, whom he dated from 2006 to 2007 was “like crack cocaine to me.”
“Sexually it was crazy,” he told the mag of Simpson (via Billboard). “It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, ‘I want to quit my life and just f–kin’ snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f–k you, I would start selling all my s–t just to keep f–king you.’”
In the same interview, he opened up about his breakup with “Friends” star, Aniston. They dated on and off from 2008 to 2009.
She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction,” Mayer told Playboy. “And I always said, ‘These are the new rules.’ ”
Two years later, Mayer still hadn’t learned his lesson, telling Rolling Stone in June 2012 that Taylor Swift’s single “Dear John” was “cheap songwriting.”
“It’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!’ ” said Mayer, who dated Swift briefly in 2009 and 2010. “That’s bulls – – t.”
The next year, he wrote “Paper Doll,” ostensibly about Swift.
No doubt, Mayer’s good looks and sweet voice made it possible for many ladies to overlook his big mouth.
“He used to bring his girlfriends to GoldBar — including Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Katy Perry and Jessica Simpson. On the off nights that he came in solo, he never left solo,” publicist for the New York hotspot, Steve Kasuba, told The Post.
But after his back-to-back Playboy and Rolling Stone interview faux pas, Mayer tried to run away from the spotlight — going so far as to move to Montana. He’s also been touring with Dead & Company, the newest version of the Grateful Dead. But the glare has followed him, according to music insiders.
“I know a well-known artist that was talking about his own career and shouted out: ‘I don’t want to turn into John Mayer! Look what happened to him. He had to go join the Grateful Dead because he talked too much about all his famous girlfriends,’ ” recalled one music bigwig.
“They stopped talking about his music and started talking about his reputation and girlfriends and personal life. That’s a crime if you’re a musician.”

Members Of The Grateful Dead And John Mayer Forming New Supergroup
The members of the Grateful Dead are coming back to life in a new supergroup with John Mayer.
Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir have joined to form the Dead Mayer & Company band. It will be held October 31 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Dead reunited this summer for Fare Thee Well tour that included five shows in Chicago and Santa Clara, California, celebrating its 50th anniversary.
"Fare Thee Well showed me that I have not finished exploring new territory with Mickey rhythm - I am recommending that everyone puts his helmet, because we will ruin our way into some serious drumming and space," said one Kreutzmann statement Wednesday. "And we Mayer riding shotgun with Weir -. We are in good company, so to speak"

John Mayer Just Bought A Massive EarthRoamer Truck
In the hills of Colorado, a group of men and women dedicated to building some pretty fearsome crafts: by land vehicles 'Xpedition', equipped with V8 engines claw capable four-wheel drive, and spacious apartments. These people are part of EarthRoamer, the XV-LT is their GDP and fall, and singer John Mayer is one of his most recent clients.
Mayer took a moment to pose with the vehicle sizable EarthRoamer outside the factory, adding the following in Instagram.
"I am a proud owner of the most formidable vehicle to go anywhere, live anywhere. A year and many preparatory meetings, it's all mine. Completely hand-built in Colorado by men and women of great talent and innovative. Who knows where it will end next ".
If he does not venture through downtown Los Angeles in his new XV-LTS ('S' stretching), is unfit to evade the paparazzi. Measuring in at over 26 feet long, the Ford F-550 EarthRoamer based is hard to miss, although make room for a bunch of gear. Inside, the XV-LTS comes equipped with a nasturtium berth compartment, several storage cabinets, bathroom, shower, kitchenette, and seating for up to eight (including the driver). Underneath the rugged F-550 sports turbodiesel four-wheel drive and a powerful 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8, good for 300 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque.
So what does one do with a vehicle of this type? If you need to ask, you probably do not need it. Adventurous and nature photographer Bill Swails founded the company in 1998 with the intention of bringing comfort RV to remote areas of the world. Over a decade and a half later, his creations are allowing robust 'XVers' to do just that.
If you've suddenly decided you need one of these brutes in your life - you're in luck. EarthRoamer currently has two examples used for sale ($ 329,000 and $ 365,000). According to price guides Site, LTS-spec vehicle Mayer usually runs between $ 312,000 and $ 560,000 new.

Taylor Swift’s Feud With Katy Perry Started Over John Mayer
Fight with Katy Perry Taylor Swift started in a guy - and sources tell Page Six was John Mayer.
After Swift mentions a "straight-up enemy" over who has written a new song, "Bad Blood", in an interview with Rolling Stone, Perry tweeted a mystery call a bad girl, "Beware Regina George with skin lamb."
Swift said in the interview, "Oh, we just straight-up enemies. And it was not even about a boy! Had to do with the business. She basically tried to sabotage the whole arena tour. She tried to hire a group of people under me... I do not think there would be no personal problem if it was not competitive. "
Taylor and Mayer had an affair in 2010 before he left.

On Monday, "This is how we do it" star posted a video on its website showing Instagram sinking underwater with four men. While some may be suspicious if these guys are more than just friends, Daily Mail mentioned that the guys are some of the dancer’s backup singer.
The group begins by giving the peace sign, since all moves underwater with the camera after them and let out a sigh. Perry manages to keep giving the peace sign, while a sunglasses "YOLO" fall guys. As you leave the water, Perry shows her shapely figure in a black bikini. She starts to walk like her flat stomach and chest take a close-up on camera.
The pop star recently told Rolling Stone a few details about where she thinks her personal life might be directed, involving the possibility of having a child on your own.
"I need a friend," she said, published in Us Magazine. "It's 2014 We are living in the future;! You do not need anything I do not think I'll have, but we'll see I'm not anti-men who love men, but it is not an option.... if someone does not it presents itself. "

1D’s Niall Horan Hangs Out With John Mayer
Both children have very different stories with Katy Perry, but does not seem to have affected their friendship ...
One Direction Niall Horan spent Monday night out with John Mayer concert O2 Arena in London.
After 1D wrapped the UK leg of his world tour Where we're at Wembley Stadium on Sunday night, Niall enjoyed a rare night out in the company of John, Irish singer "Awesome as usual" label.
Add a selfie with John to Instagram, Niall also wrote, "It is fantastic to see John tonight!"
Niall attended a tour date O2's ex John, Katy Perry, last month.
"Gotta love KP at the O2 the other night? She is awesome! Love her," Niall, again wrote on Instagram.
Katy and Niall became friends after the X Factor guest judge put her through to the next round in 2010.

Remember the good old days when John Mayer swore off talking about their exes and said he would take the high road? Oh, well.
JM had returned to their old tricks Monday when TMZ caught up with him to chat about some past loves, including Katy Perry, and, well, Mayer could not stop the train mouth.
"I have a great resistance to gang - ups, I'm fine," Mayer told the website when asked if he was upset by his old love songs written about it. “That’s what you're supposed to do, man, you are supposed to write songs. You simply are not supposed to tell everyone is doing."
In an event that acts as a third wheel with friends, Mayer laughed when the paparazzo broke the news that Perry is reportedly working on a new song about John. “I really want the song around the world to go # 1," he said. “I deliberately stopped writing hits for giving people the opportunity to have # 1 song.”
As for the supposed "scientific proof” that resonates with your name on them (ahem, no # 1 hit for Taylor Swift “Dear John " ) will always # 1, well, we will have that test this hypothesis later.

When he's not bragging about his romantic conquests in media interviews (Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston), Mayer is writing songs about them (Paper Doll is a reply to Dear John Taylor Swift acid) and sometimes with them (Who you love on his latest album is a duet with his most recent ex, Katy Perry), but another track Paradise Valley played towards the end of the night hinted a desire for less complicated times.
Dear Marie, a love letter to the class last girlfriend I had before becoming famous, asked to "tell me what he used to be." It is a plaintive and heartfelt climax, which, combined with the indulgent but impressive guitar solo in the encore track, gravity makes the longevity of Mayer seems deserved. However, it would have been nice to hear that song Lego block.

John Mayer Sings For Seth Meyers After Splitting From Katy Perry
John Mayer performs a song during the first week of Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday (February 27) at the NBC Studios in New York City.
Also making an appearance on the show that night was Girls star Lena Dunham.
It was reported earlier this week that John and his girlfriend on-and-off Katy Perry have once again separated. This is his first official appearance since the split, but it was nothing more than a musical guest on the show so it probably was not a chance to ask about it.
